Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Welcome to Diasfrica. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our websites, applications, and services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
Diasfrica helps African communities abroad find events, RSVP for free, share event flyers, and share funeral and memorial announcements.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 where the law of your country requires it) to use the Platform.
- You can browse events, RSVP to events that allow guest RSVPs, and send us a flyer without an account. Posting events and managing your RSVPs and tickets requires you to sign in with Google or Apple.
- You must provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in methods (including any passkeys) secure.
- You must comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
2. Events, Flyers, and Content
- Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of event details, including dates, times, locations, capacity, and any rules for attending.
- When you post an event or send us a flyer, you confirm that you have the right to share the content, including images, names, and contact details.
- You grant Diasfrica a non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute the content you submit in order to operate the Platform and promote the listing.
- Flyers sent to us are reviewed by our team. We may create a listing from the flyer, correct or complete details, ask you for more information, or decline it. We do not guarantee that a flyer will be listed.
- We may hide, edit, or remove content that is inaccurate, duplicated, unsafe, or that violates the law or these Terms.
3. Free RSVPs
- RSVPs on Diasfrica are free. The Platform does not sell tickets or take payments.
- An RSVP tells the host you plan to attend. It does not guarantee entry. Hosts decide who may attend and are responsible for running their events, including capacity, safety, and communication with guests.
- Diasfrica is not the organizer of events listed on the Platform and is not responsible for what happens at them.
- Diasfrica may limit or remove RSVP and posting features for fraud, abuse, or policy breaches.
4. Funeral and Memorial Announcements
- Funeral and memorial announcements are shown separately from other events, with care. They are not ranked or promoted using engagement.
- Post an announcement only if you are a member of the family or have the family's permission. Information in an announcement, such as the name of the person who has died, service details, a photo, and a family contact name and phone number, is public.
- We may remove or edit an announcement at the request of the family, or if it is inaccurate or misused. To ask for a removal, contact support@diasfrica.com.
5. Posting Limits and Moderation
- To keep the Platform useful, we limit how many events a person can post for free in a given period.
- We may review, hide, suspend, or remove events, flyers, announcements, and accounts to protect the community, and we may keep a record of these decisions.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Fraud, impersonation, harassment, abuse, hate speech, spam, scraping, system interference, and illegal content are prohibited.
- You may not post misleading events or use the Platform to collect payment or personal information under false pretenses.
- You may not use the Platform to violate sanctions, export controls, or financial regulations.
7. Reports and Disputes
- You can report an event, announcement, or user from the Platform. We may investigate reports and apply temporary restrictions while we review them.
- Diasfrica is not responsible for disputes between hosts and attendees.
8. Paid Features
- Diasfrica is free to use at this time. If we introduce paid features such as ticketing or promotion, we will update these Terms and describe them before they apply to you.
9. Privacy
- Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
10. Service Availability
- The Platform is provided on an "as available" basis. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
11. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Diasfrica is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Diasfrica is not responsible for the accuracy of event information provided by hosts, for attendance outcomes, or for events that are canceled, changed, or not held as described.
12. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
